Turn Robux into a DevEx cash-out estimate in USD

Step 1 · Robux & payout goals
Step 2 · DevEx rate & tax/fee settings
DevEx earnings summary
Enter Robux · USD output only

Add your earned Robux and optional target cash amount to see DevEx payout in USD and how much you keep after tax or fees.

Assumptions: Only earned Robux that qualify for DevEx are included, converted at a single USD-per-Robux rate. Base DevEx payout = Robux × DevEx rate (USD per Robux). Tax / extra fees are modeled as a single percentage taken from the DevEx cash payout. Net payout = DevEx cash − (DevEx cash × tax / fee %). Target mode solves for the Robux needed so your desired net amount remains after DevEx and the tax/fee rate. Defaults use $0.0038 per Robux as an example of the current DevEx rate; older earnings may cash out at $0.0035 depending on Roblox rules. This tool is for estimates only and is not tax advice. Always check the latest DevEx terms and speak with a tax professional for personal guidance.

How to use this Roblox DevEx earnings calculator

This Roblox DevEx earnings calculator helps you turn Robux balances into real-world cash estimates. It uses the DevEx exchange rate you enter, then optionally applies a tax or extra fee percentage so you can see what likely ends up in your bank after cashing out.

1. Start with your earned Robux or a cash target

In the first box, enter how many earned Robux you plan to submit through DevEx. Roblox requires those Robux to be earned from eligible sources (game passes, developer products, UGC sales, etc.) and usually enforces a minimum of 30,000 earned Robux before you can cash out.

If you already have a target in mind — for example, “I want to cash out $500” — fill in the “You want to receive” box. The calculator will then show the minimum Robux balance you need, given the DevEx rate and tax/fee percentage you set.

2. Use the current DevEx rate or plug in your own

Roblox’s DevEx terms specify a $0.0038 per Robux (roughly $114 for 30,000 Robux and $380 for 100,000), based on the current DevEx Terms of Use. If you want to model older balances that still cash out at the previous 0.0035 USD per Robux, or test future changes, just overwrite the rate and recalculate.

3. Add a tax or extra fee percentage

DevEx payouts are normally processed through a payment provider and may be treated as taxable income in your country. To avoid overestimating what you actually keep, you can set a combined tax / extra fee % — for example 20–30% to stand in for income tax, payment processing, or bank charges. Leave this at 0% if you only want the raw DevEx payout.

4. Read the breakdown to see your real-world numbers

After you click Calculate, the results box shows a headline number: either your net cash payout from the Robux you entered or the Robux required to hit your target net. Under that you’ll see:

  • DevEx payout before tax / fees,
  • estimated tax / fee amount,
  • net payout after those deductions, and
  • the effective net USD per 1,000 Robux.

This makes it much easier to sanity-check income screenshots, plan how many Robux you need to earn, or compare DevEx income to other platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Twitch.

5. Use the copy summary for your own tracking

The Copy summary button generates a plain-text breakdown including Robux, exchange rate, tax/fee %, and net payout. Paste it into Notion, Google Sheets, or a dev log so you can quickly revisit your assumptions later or compare different DevEx scenarios as your game grows.

Remember that this tool focuses on DevEx math only. It doesn’t replace Roblox’s official documentation, and it’s not financial or tax advice. Always review the latest DevEx help articles and talk to a professional if you’re making serious business decisions around Roblox income.

How the Roblox DevEx conversion works in this tool

This calculator treats DevEx as a simple Robux → USD conversion followed by an optional tax / fee deduction.

Let R be the number of eligible Robux you cash out, k be the DevEx rate in USD per Robux (for example 0.0038), and t be your combined tax / fee rate as a decimal (for example 0.25 for 25%).

First, the DevEx cash payout before any tax or extra fees is:

DevEx cash = R × k

Then the tool applies your tax / fee rate to that cash payout:

Tax / fees = DevEx cash × t
Net payout = DevEx cash − (DevEx cash × t)

When you enter a target net payout instead of Robux, the calculator rearranges the equation to solve for the Robux required. If N is the net cash you want after tax / fees, then:

N = (R × k) × (1 − t)

Solving for R gives:

Required Robux = N ÷ (k × (1 − t))

The calculator also reports the effective net value per Robux:

Net USD per Robux = Net payout ÷ R

and conveniently scales it to per 1,000 Robux in the results so you can quickly think in common Robux chunks when planning game pass prices, developer products, and monetization goals.
